A restaurant featuring traditional Korean dishes. Jang Choong Dong is a neighborhood in Seoul, the birth place of Jokbal (pig’s trotters). In addition to Jokbal, popular dishes include Bossam (steamed pig belly), and its “gamja soup” and hangover soup. Jokbal is made fresh daily, a must try, chewy, tasty, full of collagens. Bossam pig belly is delicious on its own, dipped in JCD KR’s specialty sauce, or wrapped in lettuce. The beef in the Ttagui Haejang Kuk is so tender that it melts in the mouth. We came with no expectations and immediately seeing that they specialized in the wang jokbal and served little else we went for that. the medium portion was 38.99 but could probably serve 4 people. My lady and i went to town on it and left stuffed with plenty of leftovers. The texture is phenomenal and the flavor is spot on. Such a triumph to create something so incredible out of such a humble ingredient. They cook it long and slice it to the perfect thinness. Whatever else they do, it works. This place is a culinary inspiration and I'm so glad it exists.

Sooooooo good! I really do love the Gamjatang here. Plus, the Banchan are great. I’m so full though ???? I know I’ll be coming back to try the Jokbal.

My mom tried this placed before me, we got the soonbae combination it was delicious and the Galbi also really good. I recommend that ask about the portions since when my mom came she got a lot of food without knowing the sizes. We went Sunday around 3:30 and it was empty, we loved the customer services!! We watch a lot of Korean food shows, that's why we want to try this place. Everything was delicious!!!

The soups are amazing. Very generous portions and quite reasonably priced. Very flavorful soup, absolutely perfect for a cold rainy day. We ordered: Soon Dae Kuk 순대국 Pork bone broth soup with pork intestines. Garnished with chinese chives, chopped green onion, and perilla powder. Dwe Ji Kuk Bap 돼지국밥 Pork bone broth soup with pork intestines, pork belly meat, and clear noodles. Garnished with chinese chives, chopped green onion, and perilla powder. Both served with SoonDae(Korean beef blood sausage), bowl of rice, and side dishes(BanChan).

Tried variety food here and all tastes great! We got there around 8:30 and they were still busy. Even they close at 10:00, there was no rush at all.

If you are craving for good Korean soup and pig feet, this is the restaurant to go for those. If you are ordering to go the restaurant pack it very nicely. The portion is big you get your money's worth. Each table has a bell button. If you want to save more money pay in cash. The menu is very simple. Everything on the menu is very delicious.

I tried both the M5 and galbi, and they were tasty, although I found the kimchi to be just okay, giving the overall experience a 4 out of 5.

Omg this place was delicious ! Came with my bf on a sat night & there was no wait. We ordered the galbi & medium bossam. The galbi came out on a sizzling plate & had good grilled flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. It also comes with soup on the side ! The bossam has good texture & you get a lot of it. We were a fan of all the sides. The portions are pretty large so we have leftovers for another meal. Would come back !

Fun place to get together. Nicely decorated restaurant. Service was pretty good. Happy hour on weekdays, you get 10% off bossam and jokbal. Food wasn't too bad; I've had better bossam elsewhere before. Plenty of sides to try. Ordered the plum and strawberry soju; plum flavor was personally my favorite!
